This is a plain-language summary of how the app handles your data. It is written to be easy to read — it is not legal advice and not a substitute for a lawyer.

The short version

Your products, bills and warranty cards are yours. They live in a private, encrypted store that only you can open. We never read, sell, or share your personal documents, and nothing that could identify you ever goes into our usage statistics. We only look at anonymous, blurred-together trends to make the app better.

What we store, and where

  • Your account — your email, and a display name if you give one, so you can sign in.
  • Your products & warranties — everything you enter (product name, brand, dates, prices, warranty terms, service history, reminders).
  • Your documents — the bills and warranty cards you snap or upload are kept in a private, encrypted storage bucket. They are not public. Access is isolated per user by database row-level security, so one account can never see another's files. When the app needs to show you a document it creates a short-lived signed link that expires quickly.
  • Where — all of this is hosted in India (ap-south-1, Mumbai) on Supabase.

What we never do

  • We never read, sell, or share your personal documents.
  • We never try to identify you from your usage.
  • We never put your name, email, phone, exact prices, serial numbers, or any text from your documents into our usage statistics.

What we do use — anonymous trends

To understand how customers use the app and to spot reliability trends, we record pseudonymous, aggregated usage signals. “Pseudonymous” means each account is tagged with a random ID that is deliberately kept separate from your identity — it is not your email, name, or account number, and it can't be turned back into you.

The signals we keep are coarse on purpose. For example:

  • the category and brand of products people track (e.g. “appliance, LG”);
  • warranty durations (e.g. 12 or 36 months);
  • a price band — never the exact amount. We store buckets like “₹5,000–15,000”, not “₹9,499”;
  • which features are used (adding a product, using photo extraction, logging a service, exporting data, changing language, dismissing a reminder);
  • whether document reading succeeded, so we can improve accuracy.

These are blurred-together, aggregate trends — never a profile of you.

Reading your documents

When you snap or upload a bill or warranty card and ask the app to fill in the details, the document image is sent to an AI model (Groq) to read the fields (like brand, dates and warranty length). This is how the auto-fill works. The model returns a draft you review and confirm — nothing is saved automatically. We send the image only to extract these fields; we don't use your documents to train models.

Your controls

  • Turn off analytics anytime. In Settings you can switch off “anonymous usage data”. When it's off, the app stops sending any usage signals.
  • Export your data. Download everything you've entered as CSV or JSON from Settings.
  • Request deletion. You can ask us to delete your account and data (see contact below). Full self-serve account deletion is on our roadmap.

Who else is involved

  • Supabase — our database, authentication and encrypted file storage (hosted in Mumbai, India).
  • Groq — reads the documents you choose to have auto-filled, on demand, to extract the fields (see above).
  • Email — we send reminder emails to the address on your account.
